WRC Land Use Planning Workshop Recordings Now Available for Town Officials
The Windham Regional Commission hosted three Land Use Planning workshops in May and June focusing on strategies for implementing Town Plans, what towns can do to support housing development, and the land use decision making process for municipal boards. The recordings of the workshops are available below.
Implementing the Town Plan – Regulatory & Non-Regulatory Strategies
This training focuses on different regulatory and non-regulatory approaches for towns to implement their Town Plans, including zoning and subdivision bylaws, ordinances, and capital planning. This training is primarily geared towards Planning Commissions, Selectboards, and municipal staff. This was a joint training provided by staff from the Windham Regional Commission and the Bennington County Regional Commission.

This training focuses on best practices for reviewing and making decisions on land use applications, and the importance of following due process requirements. This training is primarily geared towards Development Review Boards, Zoning Boards of Adjustments, and municipal staff.
