Trail Closures and Restrictions IN THE WINDHAM REGION

Westminster, Holden Trailhead:  The Windmill Hill Pinnacle Association has closed the Holden Trailhead parking area.  This is the trailhead for the Holden Trail to The Pinnacle
Stratton and Winhall, Long/Appalachian Trail shelters and privies:  the US Forest Service is restricting overnight camping in shelters and prohibiting use of backcountry privies on the Long/Appalachian Trail.  Shelters accessible from trailheads in the Windham Region include Bromley, Spruce Peak, William Douglas, Stratton Pond, Story Spring, KId Gore, and Goddard.
Putney:  Putney Mountain access:  The Putney Mountain Association has made the access to the summit of Putney Mountain one way, in on the West Cliff Trail and out on the Ridgeline (main) trail.  This has been done to minimize meeting people on this popular route by having everyone hike in the same direction.  The West Cliff trail is only 0.2 miles longer.
